Preview-Review
A preview-review is a class, or short series of classes where an entire strategy is covered very quickly, all at once. This accomplishes two things: For grapplers who haven’t seen a strategy yet, it provides a preview of things to come, helping them see the connections between the strategies they do know and the ones they will eventually learn. Grapplers who already know the strategy, on the other hand, get a review of details they may have forgotten.
Doing a preview-review every month or so seems to work well and helps provide the variety necessary for motivation.
